If you transport, generate, process, collect, sell, or grow CRB host materials within the designated CRB-infested area in Kona, you must operate under a valid compliance agreement with the Hawaiʻi Department of Agriculture & Biosecurity (DAB). To obtain a compliance agreement, organizations, businesses, and individuals must complete a CRB compliance training provided by BIISC. CRB host materials include palms and other live plants with organic material attached to their roots, as well as mulch, compost, wood chips, stumps, trimmings, and other decomposing plant material.
