Description: Shrub that prefers low wetland area with lots of sun, but can tolerate shade. This plant has thorns and is covered in hair.
Leaves: Round, serrated leaves can get up to 22 cm long. Lower surface of the leaf has white to yellowish brown hair.
Flower: 5 oval shaped white petals.
Fruit: The sweet red fruit is eaten and dispersed by birds and rodents.
Impact: Invades forests, open fields, and freshwater habitats. This plant can form dense impenetrable thickets that crowd out native plants and make it difficult for hunters and hikers to travel through the forest.
