Little Fire Ant Community Program

This program is intended to help community members work together to address the impacts of little fire ants (LFA) in their neighborhoods. Host a Community Information Session in your area, or gather a group of neighbors together to start and ant treatment hui with free backyard training by our LFA crew. Click to learn more.

.

Albizia Assassins

BIISC Albizia Assassins work with an array of partners to address albizia problems across the landscape. From assisting HELCO and HDOT arborist contractors with roadside management to helping communities form their own treatment teams, we provide flexible support to help reduce the threat posed by albizia. Our albizia resource center can help you learn more about how to deal with problem albizia.

.

Environmental Education

BIISC is committed to supporting the teachers of our island in providing place-based education and learning activities that center around real-world issues. We can provide live or virtual guest speakers on a variety of topics, hands-on activities to enhance learning about little fire ants, rat lungworm, ROD, and more, as well as field trips. At times, we offer a 3-credit PD for teachers – check with us to learn more!
