ʻIkuwā Festival

Join us for a day of culture, exploration, and community at our annual ʻIkuwā Festival. This free, family-friendly event brings together Hawaiʻi’s voyaging canoe community, cultural practitioners, educators, artists, and local vendors for an engaging celebration filled with hands-on experiences and activities for all ages. Throughout the day, guests can explore waʻa exhibits, enjoy live music and hula performances, participate in traditional Makahiki games, and learn through interactive cultural demonstrations and planetarium presentations. Families and keiki are invited to take part in crafts and educational activities while enjoying food vendors and a community marketplace featuring local artisans and organizations.
