Description: Large shrub or small tree that has white markings on the bark which can grow 15′-30′ tall. Often found in swamps or wet locations.
Flower: Small white inconspicuous flowers.
Leaves: Evergreen leaves about 2″-4″ long about 1″ wide; small serrations near leaf tips.
Fruit: Small, bright red or orange berries during winter months.
Elevation: 0-3,000 feet
Impact: Dahoon holly was the ability to spread in wet to mesic disturbed environments displacing native plants.
