Host a BIISC presenter for a 50-minute, standards-based activity on invasive insects during HISAW!
Surveying is a key skill in protecting our ecosystems and agriculture. Learn how and why we need to survey for insects on our island.
Topics and activities include:
- Making a homemade insect trap
- Using an identification key (dichotomous key)
- Observing a variety of locally collected, preserved insect specimens
- The threat of Coconut Rhino Beetle
